Nearly three weeks have passed since the Beta launch of the AlignUI Design System, and we think now is the ideal time to share some exciting updates with you. After receiving and considering your feedback, we have shaped our plans and polished our roadmap. This past week, our attention was on introducing a dark mode feature and fine-tuning the roadmap. The feedback we received focused on requested features like mobile integration, dark mode, sector-specific products, and others. Since dark mode was at the top of the list, we prioritized it. To start, we revisited our Variables which is a key change on updating our color palette to better align with standard design system structures, driven by your feedback.

Here's a summary of the recent changes:

• We added vibrant color options from 5 to 11 shades each.
• A new color "Sky" was introduced, along with an updated "Teal."
• Dark mode preparations led to the creation of Alpha color versions, based on different opacity levels.
• New color tokens for components like Buttons, Badges, and Alerts & Notifications have been added.
• We've added new state color tokens and introduced four additional shades for each to enhance customization.
• We've adjusted the naming for the Badge component and added a new "Light" variant.

We've been focusing on these improvements over the last week, and our testing phase is in progress. As you've seen on our social media, the results are looking good, and our dedication to enhancing the design system continues.

As for the roadmap, we've considered your feedback from before and after the Beta release, which has been essential in fine-tuning our development work to meet your needs as designers. We're excited about sharing our detailed roadmap soon, but we can give a preview. Starting with dark mode, we're planning to expand AlignUI with mobile integration, sector-specific products with unique widgets, and more.
